Terms and refunds
The rules for using Pledge Ready and buying the Pass Pack, in plain English.
The short version
- The study notes and one mock test are free. You don't need an account.
- The Pass Pack costs A$9.99, paid once. There's no subscription.
- If the Pass Pack doesn't work as described, you're entitled to a fix or a refund under Australian Consumer Law.
- Pledge Ready is an independent study site. A practice score can't promise a pass on the day.
Who we are
Pledge Ready is an independent study site for the Australian citizenship test. We're not part of the Department of Home Affairs or any government agency. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Using the site
Pledge Ready is for your own study. Please don't:
- copy, sell or republish our questions, explanations or study notes
- scrape the site or download its content in bulk
- try to unlock the Pass Pack without paying, or break the site for others
Practice, not the real test
Our mock tests follow the real rules, and every question is written from Our Common Bond. They aren't the government's questions, and passing here doesn't guarantee a pass on the day.
For bookings, eligibility and anything else official, check the Department of Home Affairs.
Who owns the content
We wrote the questions, explanations, hints and study notes, and we own them and the site's design. The booklet they're based on, Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond, is © Commonwealth of Australia and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Read more about where the questions come from.
Buying the Pass Pack
- The Pass Pack costs A$9.99, charged once in Australian dollars. It never renews.
- You'll pay on Stripe's secure checkout. We never see your card details.
- It unlocks straight away in the browser you buy it on, for your own personal use.
- Updates to the questions are included.
- If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you buy.
If you change browser or device
The Pass Pack is saved in your browser, because there are no accounts. After you pay, you get a restore link. Open it in any browser or device to unlock the Pass Pack there too.
Lost your restore link? Email hello@pledgeready.com from the address you used at checkout and we'll send it again.
Refunds and your rights
The Pass Pack comes with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that we can't exclude. It must work, match its description and do what we say it does.
- Major problem, such as it won't unlock or can't be used for its main purpose: you can choose a full refund.
- Minor problem: we'll fix it within a reasonable time. If we don't, you can ask for a refund.
We don't offer refunds if you simply change your mind. That doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
How to ask for a refund
Email hello@pledgeready.com with the address you paid with and what went wrong. We'll reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe.
Ads
Ads aren't switched on yet. When they are, free pages will show a few ads. They never appear during questions or mock tests, and the Pass Pack turns them off. We're not responsible for other businesses' ads or websites.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep every question accurate and the site running. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Beyond those rights, we're not responsible for your test result, for decisions about your citizenship application, or for losses caused by the site being briefly unavailable. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, it's limited to the amount you paid us.
Your privacy
Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it. In short: no account, and your scores stay on your device.
Changes to these terms
We'll update this page if our terms change. The terms in place when you buy apply to your purchase.
Australian law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
